Featured CDs in August

STEINWAY & SONS 30010
ISBN# 0 31062 30010 5
Smart liner notes written the performer herself give us refreshing insight into the multi-layered brilliance of this mature piano virtuoso.  Works inspired by her native Argentina and a special focus on the 1920s give this CD freshness and panache.

CHANT CORSE (1995)
Lynn Klock, saxophone
Nadine Shank, piano
OPEN LOOP 021
ISBN# 60451 0021 2 0
An older release worth a revisit for it's invigorating mix of both challenging modern works and traditional works transcribed for the saxophone.
