Friday Transmitter woes

If you've been prowling around our website today, wondering where our 89.5 FM signal is, the answer is simply "off-the-air." About 10:40 this morning the transmitter just shut down, no rhyme or reason, and engineers were contacted. The word is there's plenty of electricity flowing in, but the reason for the shut-down is, at this time, unknown. Technicians have been called in to check the tower, but until something is resolved, WSCL will only be static at our home on the FM dial, 89.5. We are streaming on this website - just click on the "Listen Live" button to activate a player. We thank you for your patience, and for sticking with us in this difficult time. We hope we will not be off-the-air for TOO long. In the meantime, keep checking your radio signal, and keep checking this website for updates. We will be back, I promise you.

Because of the shutdown, it seemed unfair to continue with this week's "Just Opened," so it's simply been postponed until next week. But in the meantime, great classical music can still be heard on our webstream! Again, thank you for your patience, and thanks always for listening and supporting your Public Radio Delmarva.
